This month we will learn the following new signs:
~ Banana ~

The baby sign for banana looks like your finger is a banana and you are peeling it. To start, take your weak hand and make a fist with your middle finger pointing up toward the sky. With your strong hand, make a peeling motion down the pointed finger.
~ Please ~

To sign please, take you hand with fingers extended and all together, and thumb extended and sticking out. Take the hand with palm facing in and rub it in a circle on your chest.
~ Thank You ~

To sign thank you, extend your fingers and thumb. Touch you fingers to your chin and bring your fingers forward. It is almost like you are blowing a kiss out, to thank the person – but the sign is a bit lower.
~ Eat ~

Make the sign for eat by taking you strong hand, with the tip of your thumb touching the tips of your fingers and tapping it on your mouth. (The universal sign for eating) The same sign is used for food.
~ Drink ~

The sign for drink looks just like you are holding and drinking from an imaginary cup. To sign cup, make your hand into a c-shape as if holding a cup in your hand. Take your hand up to your mouth as if drinking from the cup.
~ Share ~

Sweep one hand back and forth on the other hand. Its like your dividing it up: some for me and some for you.
~ Hungry ~

To make the sign for hungry, take your hand and make it into a c-shape with your palm facing your body. Start with your hand around your neck and move it down. The sign is a lot like food going down into your stomach.
~ Thirsty ~

The thirsty sign is made by extending your index finger and moving it down from your chin to your tummy. It is like you are tracing the path of the water going down into your stomach.
~ Finished ~

The sign for finished, looks like you are pushing something away with your pinkies. Start the sign by taking both your hands opened up and palms facing you. Flick your hands round so that you end with your palms facing out.
