Oatmeal with Raisins
CACFP: ⅓ cup = 1 bread


Ingredients 6 servings 20 servings
Raisins ¾ cup 2½ cups
Water 1⅓ cups 5 cups
Oats, quick or old fashioned ⅔ cup 2¾ cups
Margarine 1 Tablespoon 3 Tablespoons
Milk    



  • 1. Soak raisins in water overnight.
  • 2. Drain raisins, reserve water, and measure. Add tap water to equal recipe amount.
  • 3. Put raisin water and oats in saucepan.
  • 4. Cook over medium heat until boiling, stirring constantly.
  • 5. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. If using quick oats, cook 1 minute.
  • 6. Remove from heat and add soaked raisins.
  • 7. Add margarine and enough milk to thin oatmeal.
