Steamed Broccoli

CACFP: 1/4 cup = 1/2 fruit/vegetable
Makes 6 servings

Ingredients:

  • Broccoli, fresh - 1 1/2 cups

    Directions:

  • 1. Cut fresh broccoli into bite-sized pieces. Include the stems and a few broccoli leaves for extra iron.
  • 2. Steam broccoli until bright green and fork tender. If you plan to keep broccoli warm for later serving, slightly undercook.
  • 3. Keep warm in 200 degree oven until ready to serve.
