Baked Apples
CACFP: 1 hermit = 1 bread


 
Ingredients 6 servings 20 servings
Margarine 1&1/2 Tablespoons 4 Tablespoons
Sliced Apples, canned 2-20 ounce cans 1-#10 can
Sugar 1/4 cup 1/2 cup
Cinnamon 1 teaspoons 1 Tablespoon

 
  • 1. Use pan(s) with 1" sides. Grease pan(s) with margarine.
  • 2. Put apples and liquid in pans.
  • 3. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. (Omit sugar if canned apples are packed with sugar or corn syrup.)
  • 4. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Note: You might want to substitute fresh apples, especially if you are cooking a smaller quantity. Refer to the following chart and directions if you are using fresh apples.

    Water 1/4 cup 2/3 cup

     
    • 1. Wash and slice apples 1/4" thick, removing core and seeds.
    • 2. Follow above procedure. Add water before placing apples into pan.
