Biscuit
CACFP: 1 biscuit = 1 bread
Ingredients |
20 servings |
Flour, enriched |
1&1/3 cups |
Baking Powder |
2 teaspoons |
Salt |
1/4 teaspoon |
Vegetable Oil |
1/4 cup |
Buttermilk |
3/4 cup |
Cooking Spray |

- 1. Combine dry ingredients.
- 2. Add oil and buttermilk. Stir until a soft dough is formed.
- 3. Turn into a floured board and knead 5 times.
- 4. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness.
- 5. Cut with 2 inch biscuit cutter.
- 6. Place biscuits on cookie sheet (sprayed with cooking spray) with sides touching.
- 7. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Note: If serving fewer than 20, refrigerate or freeze unused biscuits to serve at a later date.
