Bueno Bean Soup
CACFP: 3/4 cup = 1/2 meat; 1/2 fruit/vegetable 


 
Ingredients 6 servings 20 servings
Stewed Tomatoes 1-14&1/2 ounce can 3&1/2-14&1/2 ounce cans
Water or Chicken Broth 1&1/2 cups 5 cups
Chicken Bouillon, cubes or granules 1 cube 3 cubes
Refried Beans 16 ounce can 3&1/2-16 ounce cans

 
  • 1. Puree stewed tomatoes in blender or food processor. 
  • 2. Combine tomatoes, water or broth and chicken bouillon in pan.
  • 3. Simmer until bouillon is dissolved.
  • 4. Add refried beans.
  • 5. Stir well and heat through.
