Oatmeal with Raisins
CACFP: 1/3 cup = 1 bread


 
Ingredients 6 servings 20 servings
Raisins 3/4 cup 2&1/2 cups
Water 1&1/3 cup 5 cups
Oats, old-fashioned 2/3 cup 2&3/4 cups
Margarine 1 Tablespoon 3 Tablespoons
Milk

 
  • 1. Soak raisins in water overnight.
  • 2. Drain raisins, reserve water and measure. Add tap water to equal recipe amount.
  • 3. Put raisin water and oats in saucepan.
  • 4. Cook over medium heat until boiling, stirring constantly.
  • 5. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  • 6. Remove from heat and add soaked raisins.
  • 7. Add margarine and enough milk to thin oatmeal.
