Pimento Cheese Sandwiches
CACFP: 1 sandwich = 1 meat; 1 bread


 
Ingredients 6 servings 20 servings
Cheddar Cheese 9 ounces 2 pounds
Mayonnaise 1/4 cup 1/2 cup
Worcestershire Sauce 1/4 teaspoon 1 teaspoon
Pimentos, chopped 1/2 of whole 1 whole
Bread, thin-sliced 12 40

 
  • 1. Grate cheese.
  • 2. Mix cheese, mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce with a spoon in large bowl. Do not use blender or mixer.
  • 3. Add chopped pimento(s).
  • 4. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
  • 5. Put 1/4 cup of pimento cheese mixture on each sandwich.
  • Note: This mixture tastes best if made one or two days in advance.
