Tossed Salad
CACFP: ¼ cup = ½ fruit/vegetable


Ingredients 6 servings 20 servings
Lettuce, shredded 1½ cups 5 cups
Tomatoes, whole ¼ cup 1
Cucumbers, whole ¼ ½
Salad Dressing, low-fat    



  • 1. Rinse vegetables.
  • 2. Chop in small pieces.
  • 3. Toss together.
  • 4. Serve with any of the low-fat salad dressings currently available.

    Note: Serve the dressing on the side; children like to use it as "dip".
