Turkeyburger Pie

CACFP: 1 serving = 1 meat
Makes 6 servings

Ingredients:

  • Ground Turkey - 1 pound
  • Large Onion, chopped - 1/4 cup
  • Mozzarella Cheese - 2 ounces
  • Cheddar Cheese -2 ounces
  • Egg Whites, medium - 1
  • Whole Eggs, medium - 2
  • Milk - 1 1/2 cups
  • Spice Mix - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Biscuit Mix - 3/4 cup

    Directions:

  • 1. Brown ground turkey in skillet and drain.
  • 2. Spread meat on bottom of pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  • 3. Chop onion in food processor and sprinkle over meat.
  • 4. Grate or shred cheese.
  • 5. Sprinkle cheese over meat and onion.
  • 6. Seperate eggs as indicated above and discard the yolk.
  • 7. In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, spice mix, and biscuit mix. Mix thoroughly.
  • 8. Pour mixture over meat and cheese.
  • 9. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until brown and firm.
  • 10. Allow to stand for 10 minutes before cutting into servings.
  • 11. Cut into 6 portions.
